Lacy Spring Scarf

This scarf is good for spring and summer.

I use yarn named ‘sofcool’, it’s also suitable for any type of yarn.

Supplies

240g(620m) of ‘Wister Sofcool’ or other fingering yarn

2.20mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Finishing size:

146cm long and 28cm wide

Abbreviations:

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

sl st = slip stitch

Instruction:

Body of Scarf:

Row1: ch400, 1dc in 5th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch, ch1, skip next ch, [dc in next 3ch, ch1, skip next ch] repeat across, end with dc in last 2ch. Turn.

Row2: on this row, skip all dc, ch5(count as 1dc and ch2), 1sc in next ch1, [ch5, 1sc in next ch1 sp] repeat across, end with ch2 and 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Row3: ch1(do not count as sc), 1sc in dc below, [ch5, 1sc in next ch5 sp] repeat across. Turn.

Row4: ch5(count as 1dc and ch2), 1sc in next ch5 sp, [ch5, 1sc in next ch5 sp] repeat across, end with ch2 and 1dc in beginning sc of row below. Turn.

Row5: skip all sc on this row, ch4(count as 1dc and ch1), 1sc in ch2 sp below, ch1, [(1sc, ch3, 1sc) in next ch5 sp, ch1] repeat across, end with (1sc, ch1, 1dc) in last ch5 sp on row below. Turn.

Row6: skip all sc and ch1 sp on this row, ch3(count as dc), 2dc in last dc on row below, ch1, 1sc in next ch3 sp, ch1, [(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch3 sp, ch1, 1sc in next ch3 sp, ch1] repeat across, end with 3dc in last ch4 sp of row below. Turn.

Row7: skip all dc and ch1 sp in this row, ch1(do not count as sc), 1sc in last dc of row below, ch5, 1dc in next sc, ch5, [sc in next ch2 sp, ch5, 1dc in next sc, ch5] repeat across, end with 1sc in top of ch3. Turn.

Row8: ch5(count as 1dc and ch2), 1sc in next ch5 sp, [ch5, 1sc in next ch5 sp] repeat across, end with ch2 and 1dc in beginning sc of row below. Turn.

Row9: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in dc below, [ch5, 1sc in next ch5 sp] repeat across. Turn.

Row10-57: repeat row4-9.

Row58: ch4(count as 1dc and ch1), 1sc in next ch5 sp, [ch3, 1sc in next ch1 sp] repeat across, end with ch1 and 1dc in sc below. Turn.

Row59: ch3(count as dc), 1dc in next ch1 sp, ch1, skip next sc, [3dc in next ch3 sp, ch1, skip next sc] repeat across, end with 1dc in next ch1 sp and 1dc in top of ch3.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Edging of Scarf

Attach the yarn with sl st in top of last dc of row59.

Row1: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in last stitch or beginning ch of each row of body of scarf, sc across, you should have 93sc. Turn.

Row2: ch3(count as dc), [1dc in next sc, ch1, skip next ch1] repeat across, end with dc in last 2sc. Turn.

Row3: skip all dc in this row, ch1(do not count as sc), 1sc in dc below, ch5, skip next ch1 sp, [1sc in next ch1 sp, ch5, skip next ch1 sp] repeat across. End with 1sc in top of ch3. Turn.

Row4: ch5(count as dc and ch2), 1sc in next ch5 sp, [ch5, 1sc in next ch5 sp] repeat across, end with ch2 and 1dc in sc below. Turn.

Row5: ch3(count as dc), 1dc in sp below, ch1, [3dc in next ch5 sp, ch1] repeat across, end with 2dc in ch5 sp below. Turn.

Row6-25: repeat row2-5.

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Attach the yarn with sl st in bottom of first ch3 of body of scarf, then repeat row1-25.

Changin Size:

For the length of scarf, you should have multiple of 8 for the beginning ch.

For the wide of scarf, you should have multiple of 4 plus 1 on row1 of edging of scarf.
