I made this doily with very soft yarn, it suitable for any type of yarn.
it can be used as doily or basket blanket.

Supplies
1 ball of `Retro Yarn` or other fingering yarn
2mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
dc = double crochet
Sl st = slip stich
Ch = chain
Special stitch instruction:
Ch3-pic = ch3, sl st in top of dc.
Instruction:
Ch55.
Row1 : dc in 5th ch from hook and in next 3ch, 1ch3-pic, dc in next 5ch, [dc in next ch, 1ch3-pic, dc in next 5ch] repeat to the end of row. Turn.
Row2 : ch3(count as dc), dc in next 3dc, skip next (dc, ch3-pic,dc), ch2, [dc in next 2dc, ch3-pic, dc in next 2dc, skip next(dc, ch3-pic,dc), ch2] repeat across, 4dc in last. Turn.
Row3 : ch3(count as dc), dc in next 4dc, ch3-pic, dc in next 2dc, [skip next (dc, ch3-pic,dc), ch2, dc in next dc, (dc,ch3-pic,dc) in next ch2 sp, dc in next dc] repeat across, 3dc in last. Turn.
Row4 ? 23: repeat row2 and row3.
Do not fasten off but turn the work 90 degrees and continue in the direction you are going.
Row1 of edging:
Starting down the LEFT side:ch5(count as dc and ch2), [dc in next dc/ch3 sp, ch2] repeat to end, 1dc in beginning ch, ch4 at corner.
Bottom row: dc in first ch, skip next ch2,[ch2, dc in next ch, skip next ch2] repeat to end, ch4 at corner.
Working down the RIGHT side: dc in beginning ch, ch2,[dc in next dc/ch3 sp, ch2] repeat to end, 1dc in ch3 sp of row23, ch4 at corner.
Top row:dc in top of ch3 of row23, [ch2, skip next 2dc, dc in next dc] repeat to end. Ch4, join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch5.
Row2 of edging: repeat row1 of edging with [(1dc, ch4,1dc) in ch4 sp] at corner.
Row3 of edging: repeat row1 of edging with[(1dc, ch2, ch3 picot, ch2, 1dc) in ch4 sp] at corner.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
