I use virus pattern to make small doily.

 

for white doily, I use #30 lace yarn with 2.00mm hook.

It is about 11.5cm wide.

 

for brown doily, I use #20 lace yarn with 2.3mm hook.

It is about 13cm wide.

Instruction:

Row1: in magic ring, ch1(do not count as sc), 5sc in ring, join with sl st in beginning sc.

 

Row2: ch1(do not count as sc), 1sc in first sc, ch5, [1sc in next sc, ch5], repeat around, join with sl st in beginning sc, sl st in next ch5 sp.

 

Row3: ch3(count as dc), 6dc in same ch5 sp as beginning ch3, [7dc in next ch5 sp], repeat around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch3. (35dc)

 

Row4: ch3(count as dc), 1dc in same dc as beginning ch3, dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc] repeat around, join with sl st in top of beginning ch3. (50dc)

 

Row5: ch3(count as dc), 1dc in next dc, [ch1, dc in next 2dc], repeat around, join with 1sc in top of beginning ch3.
