Supplies

40g(100m) of ‘de l’enge’ or other sports/DK yarn

3.50mm crochet hook

24cm zipper

Yarn needle

 

Finishing size:

13.5cm wide 10.5cm high and 4cm gusset

 

Abbreviations:

sc = single crochet

sc2tog = single crochet 2times together

hdc = half double crochet

sl st = slip stitch

 

Special Stitch Instruction:

back-loop-sc2tog = insert hook in back loop only and make single crochet 2 times together

 

beg-star = ch3, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook and draw loop through, insert hook in next ch and draw loop through, insert hook in last sc below and drow loop through, insert hook in back loop of next ch1 and draw loop through, insert hook in back loop of next sc and draw loop through; yarn over and draw through 6 loops on hook, ch1 to fasten.

 

Star-st = insert hook in fastening ch and draw loop through, insert hook in last loop of previous star-st and draw through, insert hook in same place as last loop of last star-st was drawn through and draw loop through, insert hook in back loop of next ch1 and draw loop through, insert hook in back loop of next sc and draw loop through; yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch1 to fasten.

Body of Pouch:

Make 2.

Row1: ch30, sc2tog in 2nd ch and 3rd ch from hook, ch1, [sc2tog, ch1] repeat across, 1sc in last ch. (14 sc2tog)

 

Row2: ch1(do not count as sc), sc2tog in sc below and next ch1 sp, ch1, [sc2tog, ch1] repeat across, 1sc in last st. (14 sc2tog)

 

Row3-4: repeat row2.

 

Row5: beg-star and star-st across, end with 1hdc in last st below. (14star-st)

 

Row6: ch1(do not count as any), 2hdc in each fastening ch across, 1hdc in top of ch3 of beg-star below. (29hdc)

 

Row7: ch1(do not count as sc), [back-loop-sc2tog, ch1] repeat across, 1sc in last st. (14 sc2tog)

 

Row8: repeat row2.

 

Row9-10: repeat row 5-6.

 

Row11: repeat row7.

 

Row12-18: repeat row2.

 

Egding: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in each ch1 sp and sc on row18 (29sc), 1sc in corner, turn the work 90 degree, then 20sc from left side of work, 1sc in corner, turn the work 90degree again, sc in each beginning ch (29sc), 1sc in corner, turn the work 90 degree, then 20sc from right side of work, 1sc in corner, join with sl st in beginning sc. (102sc)

 

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

 

Side of pouch:

Make 1.

 

Ch102, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

 

Round1: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in each ch, join with sl st in beginning sc.

 

Round2-4: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in each sc, join with sl st in beginning sc.

 

Round5: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in next 28sc, ch46, skip next 46sc, sc in next 28sc, join with ls st in beginning sc.

 

Round6: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in next 28sc, sc in next ch46, sc in next 28sc, join with sl st in beginning sc.

 

Round7-9: ch1(do not count as sc), sc in each sc, join with sl st in beginning sc.

 

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

 

Now you have 3 pieces of work and prepare the 24cm zipper.

 

Put zipper in the slit of side of pouch, and attach the zipper with hand-sewing.

Hand-sewed from wrong side and right side would be much better.

 

Put body of pouch and side of pouch together.

I made with single crochet to put pouch together.

You can make with sl st or reverse sc for different look.
